Today was one of those shoots where every detail matters. The morning started with the soft buzz of hairdryers and the smell of foundation in the studio. I unpacked my kit—brushes neatly aligned, palettes gleaming, and my favorite lipsticks waiting for their moment.
Our theme for the shoot was “Glam Meets Drama,” which meant bold eyes, sculpted contours, and, yes, some daring burn and injury makeup effects. The model arrived, slightly nervous but excited. I guided her to the chair, explained each step, and we started with a flawless base
Applying the dramatic burns was tricky—I had to mix colours, create realistic textures, and make sure it looked convincing under the camera lights. Watching the transformation, I felt that thrill every make-up artist knows: turning an idea into reality, one brushstroke at a time.
By noon, we were capturing close-ups, adjusting shadows, and perfecting every highlight. The hairstylist worked alongside me, flipping strands here and there, while I added the final touches—a streak of bold color, a hint of shimmer, a subtle smudge for realism.
Finally, the model stood, fully transformed. What started as a blank canvas had turned into a dramatic, story-telling masterpiece. That’s the magic behind the scenes: sweat, patience, creativity, and the love for making beauty (and drama) come alive.
Stay tuned for the final shots—I promise, they’re worth the wait!
